How do I get started?
Simply install the app and start listening. If you would like to customize your listening experience, click on the menu button in the upper-left hand corner of the app.
What can I customize?
You can choose your category preferences, topics of interest, and preferred publications. You can also setup your home and work location and Newsbeat will bring you a mix of national and local stories tailored to your commute.
What if I don’t like a story?
Simply skip the story or delete the story in the playlist.
Why do I get the message “Cannot connect to Newsbeat”?
This message typically occurs when there is a poor internet connection.
How do I minimize data plan usage?
Before your commute in the morning and evening, we recommend starting the app using your home/work wifi connection. Newsbeat will attempt to download the entire playlist so that your cellular data is minimized during your trip.
